Denver Fire w/ Exposures 1/30/16
#1
Just before sunrise DFD was called to 1845 S. Yuma Street for a house fire.  Upon arrival they found two houses with fire showing, 3 vehicles on fire and explosions.  Two extra engines and one extra truck over the 1st alarm were called.

The homeowner runs a hot air balloon company and their propane tanks vented a considerable amount of fire.  One appeared to have suffered a bleve and was launched across the street!

The van they use for the balloon tours was fully involved and rolled into the street a little.  Flaming fuel ran the gutter and had to be contained.  In the foreground you can see a piece of debris that was thrown from the explosion.

Engine 16 was special called and laid dual supply lines down the next block over on the charlie side.  They advanced 2 1/2" attack lines into the backyards of the burning homes.
