Interesting note on Newport News dive/Marine unit. That truck was put together by the city shops. Body came from, I believe, an ex US Marine Corp firep department 4x4 custom rescue and the shops acquired the commercial chassis and did all the paint body and lights in house. They once had a great FD dedicated shops with some of the best mechanics around.

Hi Trey, Great shot of Stafford County's engine 12.
When I traveled to Florida back in December I stopped in Fredericksburg, Va. for the night. The next morning before I continued to Florida I went to this station and got pictures of this engine and the quint (being replaced I was told). I then went to the Falmouth VFD and got pictures of their new heavy rescue. I also got pictures of Fredericksburg's engine 2 because the station was right behind the Quality Inn I stayed at. Next year I hope to stop at a couple of more stations. Maybe go back to station 12 if their new quint is in my then.

Last one from Chincoteague is their Fire Station . Love the look of this one . Most of the smaller vehicles are kept here with the larger rigs being stored at a second building a few hundred feet behind the main station .
