Secondly one of the Rapid Responder Vehicles situated around Metropolitan Sydney.

Now for some of the St John's Ambulances ... A state wide non emergency ambulance service for events etc...
Another Rapid Responder Vehicle.
The truck Action has is a box, the infamous 107. It is unusual becuase it has a single rear door opposed to doubles. I wish I had a pic but I don't.

Didn't a lot of the box ambulances in the Seattle area at one time also have a single door on the back? I know I saw pitures of a rig like that somewhere, and I'm almost sure it was from the Seattle area.

I was in Seattle 10 years ago and the SFD ambulances did not have side doors back then and from looking at the SFD website that tradition continues. http://www.seattle.gov/fire/photoGallery/a...emsShowcase.htm

if you guys are talking about the hatchback type rear doors it was crestline coach from saskatoon. they made a large number of them for the ontario ministry of health, it was a great concept but just never took off. i personally worked in them and the only think i didn't like was the large rear window that let nosey people look in.

there was also a company called medico based out of either illinois or indiana too that made hatch backs but they are no longer in business.
Brentwood, Missouri
2004 GMC Medic 407
The ambulance I saw was a side hinged side swing door.
The company I used to work for had one, made by Medico. Probably the worst design for a rear door I have ever seen.
The front of above-mentioned POS ambulance, right before she was put out of her misery.
<img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I know this is the strangest ambo in my collection and all I know about it is that is from the 50's at Bowie,MD.
