And last up for tonight is this 1925 Sanford engine which formerly served the Pultneyville,NY FD and is still owned by them and seen in many summertime musters and parades. Hope you all have enjoyed this installment of pics, and there will be more to come.

Yes Jeff a Parade is in the works. We are doing a supplement to our 75th bock that will include a complete written history of all our eqeuipment that I just finished writing. I lam looking forward to it my self.

A picture of the Sanford delivery photo of our 69 Duplex/Sanford unit 511. In service at Central Square (Oswego Co) from 1969 to 2004. It was rehabed in the early 80's by Salisbury and renumbered 542.

Both Central Square's and Oswego County's first tanker. A 1939 Ford/Local 1200 gal of water. This truck was hated from the moment it went into service (1950 to 1953). My opinion is that is wasn't enough chassis for the 1200 gal water tank. A 47 Chevy replaced it in 1953. The truck, or at least parts of it still lives today in a neat little street rod. A local man ended up with it and used the cab and some of the sheet metal for his street rod, still painted red. I have a picture of it some where.

The last for now. Central Square's first engine. A 1927 Selden/Buffalo. It was in service with us from 1927 until 1948. It was then sold to the Cato Department and was in service at least till 1959. It sat for years in a little junk yard in Cicero NY, buried with junk. I been told what was left of it was scraped last summer when the junkyard got cleaned out. I guess there wasn't much left to the old girl.

This is actually a 1983, and will be replaced in May with a US Tanker currently being built. That truck will be on display at FDIC

According to their website, it's no longer in service, replaced by either an '07 or an '09 Pierce. Looks like a Sanford to me based on the rear fenders and the way diamond plate over the compartments is welded.
