Seagrave to offer Smeal's Snorkel and Squirt line

Would you happen to have a link to the article?
Thanks!
I do not have a link, this came from the article in the published PA Fireman May 2016
Okay, Thanks
Indian Head, MD currently working on finalizing a smeal mid-mount tower on a Seagrave maurader 2chassis
I wonder how much of this will be Seagrave "offering" the LTC line or Smeal "offering" Seagrave chassis as an option for its LTC line. At one time, I heard Seagrave was also working on its own proprietary Squrt-similar device. I know my department is watching the Squrt situation pretty closely. We're an all Seagrave department and we've had at least one boom on the streets since 1974.

I think it will work really well for Smeal in putting a good chassis under the LTC line other than Spartan or the Ferrara option.

I haven't read the article the OP mentions so I can't say exactly what the author did or did not say, but Kent you are on the right track. Smeal is not selling Squrt/TeleSqurt or Snorkel devices to any other mfg's currently. They will however build them on a chassis other than Spartan or the Smeal S-450/S-600. Seagrave is willing to sell Smeal a cab/chassis making all of this possible. Should make for some great rigs.
Any reason why IndianHead didn't go with an appollo 2?

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing. [/quote]
I would venture a guess because they wanted a mid-mount not the rear-mount.

Was at Seagrave back in May, they said they were looking at making something similar to the Squirt, but no time line given.
