Palo (pronounced "pay-low") is a community of about 1000 northwest of Cedar Rapids.  Fire District 6 serves the town with four apparatus plus a boat. 

 

Palo 341 is a 2010 Ford F550/Alexis, 250/300.  Rescue 341 goes on all medical calls as well as grass fires.

Palo 344 is a 2005 Freightliner/Toyne, 750/1500.

Brush 349 is a 2000 Ford F250, 250/250 with the boat.

Palo's boat is an 18-foot Allweld, with a 115 HP motor.

Finally, Palo tanker 340 is a 2000 Freightliner/Toyne, 1250/2000.

Norway is a small community in southern Benton County, two towns west of Cedar Rapids.  Florence Township/Norway Fire and Rescue responds with four apparatus.

 

Norway 764 is a 1995 Ford F-Series/E One.

Norway 769 is a 2016 Chevy Ram 5500/Heiman, 1250/1000.

Norway 762 is a 2008 GMC 4500, former Battle Creek, IA ambulance.  762 is now used by the First Responders but does not transport patients.

Norway 765 is a 2009 Kenworth/Rosenbauer/Heiman, 750/2000.

Jefferson-Monroe Fire Department, near Swisher in Johnson County, purchased this former Rosenbauer demonstrator.

Another update; Riverside Fire Department took delivery of a 2016 Pierce Aerial this summer.

Riverside 162 is a 2016 Impel Ascendant, 107' ladder, 1500/500.

Riverside serves a nearby multi-story casino complex, thus the new ladder.

Fairfax Fire Department in Linn County serves both Fairfax and nearby Walford.  These are the apparatus stationed at Fairfax.
