Keep your eyes out at Glick in the next week or so. Union's new Enforcer is due in and if you are up that way please take some pics of it if you see it!

It came in on 3/22/07 and it was getting its winter coat washed off or I would have pictures of it,BTW it has a little different look to it with Mars lights on the corners.

Hmm, looks different than it did when I shot it just after it arrived at the marhalling area for FDIC last year. Looks like they've replaced the grill.

This truck has spent lots of quality time at Glick's having many things fabricated as well as having everything pulled out of every compartment to have the stainless installed in the compartments,I think the guys were glad to see them come and get it !

Looks like the light tower housing is missing in the later shots of Dowington's truck.

Ahh, so that explains it! Thanks for that info Terry. I know when the Pierce convoy arrived at the yard last year, they had a bunch of sharp rigs, and everyone that was there taking pics of the rigs, swarmed around that rig when it came in along with the red Quantum from Miami-Dade E-3.

If everything works out again this year, I'll be back working our club's canteen at the marshalling yard for 3 days this year. Should be able to get a ton of pics agin. Anything in particular you want me to keep an eye out for?

No not really since I have no clue what anyone will be bringing.Anything Pierce except for a Velocity or Impel will do me just fine! (Still have not forgiven Pierce for doing away with all those great chassis)

It could be just the angle, but I think I see the area where it is.

Yeah I am real good friends with one of the Chief's and he said it was due in at Glicks on the 22nd.

They actually used the specs from our 2003 Dash to due their engine in 2005 and this latest one is a spin off of both. The Enforcer is complete with the Maryland warning light package. The Dash is set to have the Mars 888's installed after this engine goes in service!

I was at Glicks when the Downingtown Rescue was there getting the tools mounted. What an impressive piece of fire apparatus it is! The rear cab area is set up to be used as a command area and had two LCD TV screens mounted on each side of the walk way into the body. One was hooked to a video camera but not sure what the other one went to.

It does have automatic roll up doors, the controls are located on the side of the cab under the rear window. It's a well thought out rig and I posted a thread of the pics I shot of it last summer on here.

Just wondering.....with the automatic roll up doors, can you manually open them if something zaps out the electonic option? And if so, do they open as easily as manual roll ups open? I know that up here in the Northeast, roll ups have a tendancy to accumulate a lot of dirt and grime in the tracks, causing them to be harder to open. Now they throw electronics into the mix and I can only imagine the headaches these variables might cause.

Also they have a different logo on the front doors. Instead of just lettering, they added the company logo or something. The bumper might look different because of the reflective striping added, also it looks like they added the bell.

No matter what they added, it was a GREAT looking truck then and now!! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/BananaMan.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='BananaMan' />

Personally from what I have heard from different people the truck was hurried to be at FDIC and that may be the cause of the changes we're seeing. The bumper looks the same to me with the addition of the bell and scotchlite to the tool cover. The lettering has been changed on the front doors and possibly on the body(one side has eagle the other company logo). As for the roll up doors I don't know but I would think there would be some way to open them in case of power failure.
