Bellevue voters just passed a property tax increase for fire facilities with a 57% yes vote. It will build a new Station 10 in north downtown, replace stations 4 and 5, remodel station 6, perform seismic upgrades at all their other stations, build a logistics warehouse, and upgrade the training center.
The plan is to completely reorient the department, with the 2 Lightforces eventually moving to stations 4 and 6 once the upgrades are done, and the capability to add a third Lightforce downtown. My guess is that Medic 1 will move out of Overlake Hospital and into Station 10 when it is done, as it will be very close to Overlake.
SFD is in the process of adding hybrid converters to their 2015 Ford E450 Medic Units to reduce emissions and fuel cost. After a nine month trial the results of the conversion have reportedly exceeded expectations.
I noticed on the Hughes Fire site that a couple of Enforcer pumpers and another Arrow XT tiller are in production. Pumpers looked closed to being done. Is one of those slated to go to E10? Thanks. Great pics too.

E28 and E10 have been assigned the first two Enforcers. E28 has been using their's since the middle of the year. While E10's crew was just starting drivers training the driving instructor had an accident while backing and caused some serious damage to the rig. The body damage has been repaired but I'm not sure when it will be going into service.

Thanks for the info. How many of the Enforcer's are they getting, if you know?
Any idea where 28's 2013 Arrow XT (shop ID 32142) was reassigned to, and where the 2006 rearmount that was assigned to L8 and the problematic 06 TDA that was assigned to L1 are now assigned to?

E28's 2013 Arrow XT has been reassigned as E8....see post 1753, and 1754
The 2006 Crimson rearmount has been reassigned to the reserve fleet.
The TDA you're referring to is the other 2006 Crimson unit that was originally assigned to L1 and then L11. It has recently been replaced by a 2016 dual tandem axial TDA assigned as L11 at temporary station 32 in West Seattle. I'm not sure whether it will be assigned to the reserve fleet or used in front line service at this time.
Quote:Thanks for the info! Do you have a roster for the spare/reserve fleet for Seattle Fire?
This list of SFD spare/reserve units was last updated around June of 2015. I'll re-post a more current list when enough updated information becomes available.
Several units have updated information as noted (**)
