On my first visit there, back in the late 1980's or early 1990's, they had a lime yellow ALF 700 Series aerial, but I was unable to photograph it. I assumed that it was the 100' quint that was later refurbed, painted green and then later sold to a well-known collector in "Indyfornia", but she told me her rig was previously painted red. Any ideas on the lime one?

The lime yellow one originally served with Irwin, PA where, I believe, it was a 1949 700 series (right?). I was under the impression that the lime yellow one became the green one pictured, then rechassied with the Alf 1000 series. They called it (the rechassied one) a "1949" even with the 1000 series front end. Once they got rid of the 1000/700 they got the ex. Bethel Park Century.

However, this doesn't explain:

Where the pump came from on the quint.

Was the yellow one a 100 footer, or was the first prior green one an 85 footer? My picture of it is from the passenger side, so no help there.

I hope this helps a little, or isn't too confusing <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Icon_crazy' />
