Iowa Rigs
Finally, the antique truck is a 1929 Chevy, which was Morley's first fire truck.  Members hope to overhaul it someday.

Oakville is a small town of about 170 residents in Louisa County.  Oakville runs six rigs. 

 

Rescue 410 is a 2005 International 4300, a former Fox Lake, IL ambulance.

Pumper 413 is a 1993 Ford L8000 by Towers Apparatus, now Sentinel.  Purchased new, 413 is a 750/1000.

Brush truck 415 also tows the department's Ranger.  The Polaris Ranger is a 2008 6x6, and was donated to the town by a tobacco firm during the 2008 floods.

Brush 415 is a 2000 Ford F350 with a home-built skid unit with a 250 gal. tank.  415 was donated by Tri Oak Foods, the food firm in the background of many of these shots.

This past September one of the fire schools in Iowa was held at Kirkwood Community College.  One of the pumpers on hand was Hiawatha 284, a 1986 Pirsch which was purchased new by the department.  284 has a 750 tank and a 1250 pump.
