Interesting look.  Obviously if you are a traditionalist this simply isn't going to fly.  But of all the "modern" designs this is one of the better appearing.  Any word on new features unique to this cab?  Or is this just mainly an aesthetic thing?

There will be two of these at FDIC.  There are several changes to the chassis interior that make it different than the Commander. Some nice features such as wider seats and a better angle on the dash.

Any better quality materials on the interiors? I wasn't very impressed with the couple they have brought by.

The Commander chassis' use industry standard interiors so I don't know what the ones you saw looked like.  The interior finish on the Avenger is close to Line-X and the seats are top-of-the line, (and wider).  I have driven many Commanders and find the interiors to be just fine.

I think this just took first place as the ugliest nose on a fire truck. Overtaking the Quest, and Imperial. The Quantum must feel good not being in the top 3 any longer.

I agree!  This is by far uglier than the quest.

Wouldn't even look good on a motor home!

I'd like to see one with chrome instead of the blacked out everything.  And I want to see the interior before I pass judgement.

Hate to say it, but at least it seems like they're trying to push development as opposed to being stagnant like some other builders.

Reminds me of a transformer  Fireman

Apparently chrome is not an option at all on this chassis.  Sorry, I just don't like the blacked out look on a fire apparatus.  Rules it out for me even if I could learn to like the look.

So is there anybody here that actually seen the functionality? I mean, I'm 50/50 on that chassis, I haven't decided what I think about it, but haven't discounted it, but it is said to have wider seats, more room for the crew etc, I'm just curious if that's the case based on what folks have seen....And no chrome? I see alot more blacked out rigs these days but that can't last forever, can it?

Aside from the discussion of the Avenger, I have thought this exact same thing!

There are still quite a few things forthcoming and the Avenger will evolve. The show was intended to get the Avenger introduced and get feedback from the customer base that will drive it's continued development.  I'll I can say is that they'll take the feedback they received and nothing is off the tableSmile

Good.  The booth dude I spoke to was pretty convinced black, black and black were the choices.  Smile  Then again, we're probably in a Warrior chassis if anything due to budget.

I did like the low hose bed on the rear mount pump Avenger demo too...

I also liked the rear pump with the low hosebed; however I didn't like the clearance inside the pump compartment for maintenance. Also, the rep apparently didn't like it when I tried to crawl in there to get a good look, lol. But the access panel was unlocked, so................. 22_yikes
