I have question. I have noticed that Quint 22 is located with Engine 35. Why is it called Quint 22? Are they enlarging Station 22 so that Quint 22 can be housed with Engine 22? What happened to Engine 66 are they now Engine 46?
Do the Rescues still run with only 2 men on the units or have they become fully manned with 4 men aboard ? Thanks Quote:I have question. I have noticed that Quint 22 is located with Engine 35. Station 7 is getting enlarging and will be getting a quint (Quint 7). There also rumors about putting a quint at 39's (Quint 39) to since they replaced Ladder 31 with Rescue 31. AFD toke over Travis County ESD 4 and there now Stations 47 & 48. (07-23-2019, 01:09 PM)Txfirephoto Wrote: Ladder 22 Are they going away from Pierce? Thats a bummer i have always loved there fleet. They still got a few more Pierce engines and 2 100' mid-mount Ascendants on order. There also talk about some Ferrara and KME Engines and Ladders to.
Any Rhyme or Reason for the switch?
I see one department in Texas is Dropping and another one is rejoining. (Ft Worth)
Even with Pierce, they never stuck with just one chassis after the Quantums.

Update AFD has 3 Pierce 105' rear-mounts on order. There going to (Ladder Co's 1, 3, & 17.). Rumor has it that the old Quint 1 will be going to 34's (Quint 34) and old Quint 17 will be going to 27's (Quint 27). Also there will be more Spartan's engine's, ladder's, & rescue's for next year.
