Greenbelt's old Engine 351. IIRC, Engine 352 was a twin.

Hyattsville's old Truck 1 that they ran in between the tillers. I believe it's now in service in New England somewhere?

And the old Truck 9, before it's refurb and repaint. That's all I've got for now. Will keep flipping through to see what I can find...

Wonder why is has the 315's on the front? It was delivered with super singles, and still has them.

I'd say that the picture has an 18k front axle and it now has a 20k if it has 385 now or a 23k if it's 425

Quote:I believe this was Battalion Chief Four. Taken on the back ramp at Company 12.
It is different from the originally delivered unit that was the one I had.  When I was Battalion Chief 4 I had two round forward facing strobe lights mounted to the front bumper, the 2 black bumper additions probably used the holes that were drilled into the bumper for the strobe lights.  The siren speaker was mounted below the license plate.  The grill mounted strobe lights were added after I retired, also the fender mounted name was "Battalion 4" not the shown "Battalion Chief".  I believe the Suburban is a 1990 or 1991 that was used as a reserve Battalion Chief's car when the department received 9 new Ford Explorers to replace all the existing Battalion Chief's cars.

That truck had never ending suspension issues since day one.  At certain speeds with bumps in the right spacing the front end would bounce violently.  They tried a different axle with different wheel/tire combination, added a heavier steel bumper for more weight, and I believe they even ended up getting Pierce to put the tak-4 IFS underneath it but it never fully corrected it.

IT'S NOT A TANKER!
At first glance, one may assume this is a tanker, but it's not. You won't find any dump valves or a drafting pool. This 2016 Pierce Velocity is Prince George's County (MD) Fire & EMS Department's Engine 845. It covers a more rural portion of the county (Croom), where there may be long distances between hydrants and other companies that are further away. This setup is very similar to PGFD's other Engine companies, including a full compliment of hose packed in a low hosebed, ground ladders, and all the equipment you'd expect a PGFD engine to have. So, what sets this engine apart? It's the 1,500 gallon booster tank. Plenty of water to make an initial attack and then some. The water is delivered by a 1500GPM Hale pump. And the Detroit Diesel DD13 525HP motor makes hauling all that water easy. It also includes a Husky foam system with a 100 gallon foam tank.
Special thanks to all those involved in helping me get the great shot of this beautiful rig!

I really like your last two shots, the Breast Cancer awareness truck is unique as is the twin-drive pumper for Croom.
