I think we've all had the cabin fever from COVID. Today, I took the ride to Toms River, NJ for Fire Company #1's 125th Anniversary Parade. It was well worth the trip.
I haven't done much with the camera since getting it and this was a good workout with great results. I shot in aperture priority, which I haven't done since I went to digital. My Canon AV-1's were all aperture priority; it's what I learned to shoot on and they served me well for 20 years. I used the old news photographer's adage of "f8 and be there" and it worked out pretty good.
The only downside was that traffic opposite the parade was allowed to continue during the parade, so I couldn't get the preferred driver's side shots.
First up, the Toms River Police Honor Guard
