Richmond Ambulance Authority runs as a third service in the City of Richmond. These buses have no fixed quarters or territories, but they make calls to where ever needed as they clear from a call. Usually they try to keep them in a geographical section of the city. This unit was caught at St. Mary’s Hospital ER... Truckman Photo

Brad,
I may be wrong "lord knows i have been before" but that does not look like a Wheeled Coach box. 99% of their boxes have the corner cap lights. Unless it's on a van type or a type 2 ambulance.
That North Central EMS squad is a Medix box, there is a picture of it on penncare's website.(Braun and medix dealer). But i think North Central also has some Wheeled Coach mods as well.
I may be wrong. I looked at the back of the box and I thought it had a Wheeled Coach tag on the back of it.

It is a Medix. One sure way to tell is to look at the module construction. No corner extrusions on a Medix as they are vacum form like an RV.
......and NO Wheeled Coach signature corner cap clearance lights on the box.

Between the purchase of these S&S units, the name of this Asheville, NC funeral home changed from "Dunn & Groce" to "Groce." They continue to operate two facilities. Most funeral homes in the area, including Groce, stopped ambulance service in 1966.
I spotted these two rigs parked at a hotel parking lot near the Ottawa International Airport. They are operated by Ornge Ambulance. This company has the contract to operate the provincial air ambulance service and have recently launched an integrated critical care land transport service. These two rigs appear to be Crestline ambulances.
