1978 Pumper Sold To: Torrance, CA Current: Part of SoCal fire academy fleet Photo Credit: Marc Johnson Note: Being a '78, this was probably one of the last narrow cab pumpers as you could order either in 1977 & 1978 until the wide cabs became the only model produced.

1965 Pumper Sold To: Manhattan Beach, CA Current: Collector Owned Photo Credit: Marc Johnson Note: Built as an open cab, cab was enclosed and widened at the jumpseats, looks strange, even though the work was done by Crown.

1979 50ft Telesqurt Sold To: Torrance, CA Current: Soon to be collector owned, if not already Photo Credit: Marc Johnson Note: This was the only wide body Crown purchased by the LA City FD. However, for some reason the truck was rejected and sold to Torrance. It has been partially parted out due to someone at the fire academy it served, causing some damage to their other wide body Crown. Hopefully, she will be restored in the future by her soon to be new owners. Was always a favorite of mine, so sad to see it in this condition.

I've been a big fan of the Crown Firecoach ever since "Engine 51" had theirs. I always got a kick out of seeing them appear on TV and movies in places that never had a Crown, like once there was a Crown Snorkel in a show, lettered "NYFD"!
Anyway, over the years, I've managed to shoot eight of them, not bad for a guy who's never been to the western half of the US. L-4 Clarksville, VA 1966 Crown 1000/180/65' Snk F-1458 x-Running Springs, CA x-Sunnyvale, CA

An unknown 85ft Snorkel, probably ex-Orange County purchased by a tree trimming company. The tree trimming company had this for sale approximately 12-18 months ago.
