Casey do you have any photos of the Former Ward Glendale use to have?[/quote]

It will be a while before I can post it, as my disk drive is kaput. I am sending my laptop into the shop to get it repaired early next week. Plus, I have a few shots of Burbank's WLF's including their WLF/Grove Truck.

I´m a little bit behind, hence my late reply <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/computer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Computer' />

Why does LAFD and LACoFD appartus rust away once they are surplused? One would think that they would endure the test of time due to the amount of care they received when they were active apparatus.

It is usually because the new owners probably don't spend the time that the County does keeping them in great shape.

This engine was first assigned to 108's in Sierra Madre. The County shut the station down in the 70's and is now home to Sierra Madre Search & Rescue.

That's Ansonia's old Engine 1. Washington NH did a good job refuring her. Too back they didn't keep the blue front warning lights and replaced them with the original clear lenses.
