Thank You Frank for the Glastonbury pics. you have brought back a flood of memories. there were two more Hahns in Glastonbury. another 1979 1000/500 that was assigned to Engine 21. this piece was identical to Engine 11. another 1983 model had a 1000 gallon tank and was assigned to Engine 32. that piece may STILL be in reserve. 31 and 21 were glidered by E\-One several years ago. the other two 1979's have been recently disposed of and Engine 12 is still in service.

Additional info on the East Whiteland Hahn:
I ran my first working job on this engine over 20 years ago. (Gee, I am old !) Still in front line service - due to be finally replaced with a new E\-One in the fall. 1969 Hahn 78, Cincinnati canopy cab, 1250/500, model C-10. The engine was purchased for $33,590 and delivered on 5/20/69. It has the distinction of being the first engine purchased with the new YW paint scheme and a diesel engine. It has a 6-71N Detroit (235 HP) with a Fuller 5- speed w/American LaFrance shift pattern. It was housed on 5/13/78. The pump was rebuilt in 1984 when a supply hose inner liner failed at a drill at the Lee Tire complex. Tom Donnachie was the engineer that night. The entire engine was refurbed by the Hahn Service Facility in 1987 for $56,715. The diesel engine was rebuilt in 1988 for $6,000. Crosslays were added in 1993 for $650 by Glick. OnSpot chaines were installed in 11/94 by Glick. In June of 1997 it was moved to the temporary sub-station at the old bus garage at Hershey Mills Road & King Road when the Rt. 352 bridge was being replaced, and the response times to the southern part of the township were delayed because of the longer route that had to be taken. It was moved back to the Planebrook station in 8/98 when the bridge reopened. The gas tank was replaced in 9/98 by Glick Fire Equipment. It was loaned to East Brandywine on 3/7/07 when they had a bunch of units OOS for refurbs and maintenance. Returned on 4/5/07
