I think it used to be in or near Elmhurst. I think they had a station on York Rd north of I-88. (it's no longer in existance if I remember correctly).

Where is Yorkfield Fire?? I grew up in dupage county and never heard of it.
It was a small Fire protection district just south of Elmhurst The station was 1 block south of Butterfield on York rd. It covered the unincororated areas of Elmhurst and Hillside. A majority of the area was Roosevelt rd, I294, and I88. In 2001 the trustees disolved the operations of the FD and then contracted out to the city of Elmhurst. The district still exists but is only a taxing body. Myself and TWR1212 were on the department I was there from 1987-1999 and was a Capt/EMS coodinator. The station was purchased by the Elmhurst hospital and knocked down in mid 2003

I grew up in Wheaton; I remember Yorkfield, as well as other "also ran" FPDs such as Butterfield and Glenbard.
Dont forget Villard. Butterfield is stil there its now called Oak Brook terrace
I think Berkley purchased one of their newer ambulances when the dist was disbanded. Im not sure where the rest of the rigs went though.

I was on Yorkfield from 1989 til 2001 when they closed with FFPM571. Berkeley did buy our ambulance. Salinas Twp. F.P.D. in Bonfield, IL. (Kankakee County) has the 1987 Ford C/E-ONE and Morocco F.D., Indiana (Newton County) has the 1994 E\-One(Sentry).

No problem, anytime.
Champaign's old Rescue 18, a Pierce Arrow. Taken in early 2002 (found some negatives the other day).
I'm down with:
IAFF, IFPA, APCO, NAED, ARRL
And sitting out back was old Engine 113, a Pirsch-Squrt. Taken in mid 2002, scanned from negative.

Back closer to UIUC campus was Truck 111, a Pierce Dash (I think?). Also early 2002, scanned from a negative.
