It's hard to believe that Carlstadt's Schweng is ten years old already! Believe it or not I was there the minute it was delivered to Friendship Hook and Ladder. It was about 11 am on the morning of their 125th anniversary parade which was the same weekend as the Fire Expo in Harrisburg. The parade was also the official parade of the North Jersey Volunteer Firemen's Association that year.

FYI, Get your shots of the East Rutherford apparatus while they have it. Ive heard from sources that they are doing a complete overhaul of the Dept. I believe 3 engines and a new truck.
Reply
Yes that is true about East Rutherford....I was told complete overhaul with Sutphen apparatus (100ft tower, 2 engines with 1000 gallon water tanks, and a 70ft Quint.)

Nothing for Palisades.... There were a few rigs - mostly Maintenance/PM things going on inside... too tight to even shoot in the building.
