For those of you who are fans of the publication Weird New Jersey and its Weird books about various states, Community Fire Company of Newfoundland and Oak Ridge, West Milford Township NJ, should be in it. The engine is lettered as "Co. 1" which I believe it is probably incorporated as since they were the first (and only) fire company named Community in that township. But, a few years ago West Milford's six fire companies adopted a numbering system alphabetically which made Community "Co. 2". Rich Dean

First up at Moonachie is Little Ferry's ladder tower[/quote] Thanks for capturing a bit (very little bit) of my personal vehicle.. The silver p/u next to the red suburban. I saw a bunch of photogs at the wetdown. Were you the one wearing the navy blue shirt, or the tan vest?

Great to see at least one Crown Firecoach still in the USA's most densely populated state.

Here are some shot's from Saturday's parade in Millburn where the township (not the FD) celebrated its 150th year. Millburn is located in Southern Essex County off Route 78 near Maplewood, Springfield, Union, and Summit and encompasses the area known as "Short Hills." First up are rigs from the MFD. I was experimenting with a new camera, so some of the pictures didn't come out 100%.

A rear-shot was the best I could muster For Millburn Engine One, a Pierce Lance.

Millburn's Mack CF, still in service. The MFD did not include their International Rescue truck in the parade, as it was stationed with Maplewood's engine to answer alarms in the township.

An interesting shot, the changing face of the MFD over the years.
