That would be what a DC Specd Ford/E-one would look like, did they piggyback and order or just order one close to what DC Had?

The "phonebooth" behind the cab threw me off. I never saw much of that done except in DC and Pittsburgh back in the day.

This pumper began its service protecting the Ford Motor Company's Van Dyke manufacturing plant in Sterling Heights, Michigan from 1968 until the plant was shut down in 1980.

In 1981, Ford donated this pumper to the Mount Vernon Ladies Association, the entity that still runs Mount Vernon Estate, In Virginia. Mount Vernon Estate is the homestead of George Washington, the Father of Our Country! The donation was made by Ford's then-CEO, Phillip Caldwell and his wife, who happened to be a member of Mount Vernon Estate's Board of Regents.

The connection between the Ford Motor Company and Mount Vernon Estate actually began back in 1923, when Henry Ford himself donated a brand new specially-built fire engine for the Estate.

This pumper faithfully protected the Estate from 1981 until 2007. Since then, it was been sitting out of service on Estate property until November of this year, when my son and I saved it from being scrapped.

Is the Mohave Valley rig ex-Bullhead City, or maybe just ordered off the same specs? I noticed they have similar bodies and striping.
