I'll counter with a couple more of my own. I'm saving all the "7th Battalion" for after I get done with the downtown stations.



Engine 36 was recently placed in service for the first time since 1977. They are running with Engine 21's former 1997 Spartan/Quality 1500/500.

Now back to downtown. We've alredy seen this one, just not with the burn damage. IIRC, it was scorched at the big P'tree & Trinity fire. Was that the one where 1 LODD (Scott Duncan) and at least 1 critical inj. (Capt. Ingram)? I'll ask Lumpy (Capt. Ingram's son, a LT. w/ Cobb Co.) if nobody knows fer sher.

As the Firebird 150's dependability decreased significantly, an older TDA was assigned to Sta. 5. Here's a Ford C-cab 100' TDA Pirsch.

From a couple of years ago. E-8 responds on a call past NS CP "Rockdale". I love ATL for it's railfanability and fire buffing. Notice the lean to the no. 8. NASCAR fan? Now, back to the scanner!

And scan I did. Here is an oddity. It was apparently STILL in service as a reserve Ladder Truck in '81. I'll take a wild stab, '46-'48 Pirsch 75 footer? Taken at an Apt. fire off Jonesboro Rd.

I LOVE those style Pirsch cabs! L-31 poses the same day the previous E-31. ( I keep kicking myself for not shooting a TDA with that cab in, I think, Jackson, TN.)

Another Yellow bird. Yellow 5 leaving one of the many Musters we USED to have in Atl. IIRC, this was at Atl. Area Tech on Stewart Av.

This unit did in fact end up in Virginia. West Point, Virginia ran this unit as Ladder 1 from 1992 until 2003-2004 when stress crack were found in the boom. Honestly, It was a ragged out money pit from day one. it is now owned by a private collector that has redone it not sure to what degree. I will post pictures at a later date.
