1ST aerial ladder truck for Bel Air VFD in Harford County was this 1951 Maxim 85' aerial which was purchased around 1970 from an unknown PA dept. (Hello, Howie!?). It served Bel Air until 1976, and was then sold to Quarryville,PA., where it ran until 1992.
Photo from collection of John Floyd, original photographer unknown
Hey Doc, You should have known where that truck came from. Its got your name in it! Bel Air got the truck from Jenkintown, PA.

John Floyd photo, Jenkins collection
Info for this rig is a 1967 Ford C1000/American 750/500. It was rehabbed and repainted white over lime in 1981. In 1984 it became Anne Arundel County Rsv.Engine 51.
Thanks, Jeff for the info! I did not know that...
BTW, are you planning to go on any photo trips this year? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Well, I see no reason why this thread should be just Mr. Floyd's contributions, and since I've been advised to "stick to pics", here is a series of rigs shot by myself in the fall of 1991. This was a Fire Expo put on by the Anne Arundel County FD at its training academy and featured both vol. and career rigs. Hopefully, Hungrybus or Desoto can correct any errors I make... All photos by Warren Jenkins 1st is Floodlight 34 from Ferndale VFD - 1989 Ford F-350/Knapheide
This venerable 1959 Pirsch 85' aerial was the training truck, but would soon be gone.
AACo. Air Cascade 1 was this 1990 IH N 4600/85 E-1 body, apparently at that time quartered at Sta.11
Good photos Warren.
