Mack Fire Apparatus
A few old Mack's from St. Louis MO taken at the 1987 IFBA Convention. The city was beginning to convert to the total "Quint" concept at the time and also returning to red from the interim white/yellow color scheme.

First a 1948 Mack 1000/500. FLJackphoto.

You know I would've bought the C-Model you owned prior to your current one in a heartbeat.

It was a great running engine with the automatic transmission, diesel engine and power steering.

It just needed a little T.L.C. when I took this picture of it two years ago. I'd still take it minus the step.

The open cab I currently own allows me to breathe in the smog laden air in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and exposes me to the oppressive heat that we have here as well.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

So when are we going for a ride? I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing that; not in a C-Model at least. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

I suppose you can go for a ride in the open cab C next time you come down.

We could have gone for a ride at the recent North Texas Muster but time and weather did not allow it.

Gives you another reason to want to come down to the Great State of Texas.

You don't see to many Mack CF's E\-One aerials and E\-One body work. Here's one for you.

FLJack:

Could this be a refurb of the 71 CF with the enclosed jump seat area? This might also explain the Bean equipment.
