The department purchased three more ALF pumpers and three more ALF TDA's in 1957 along with a new Rescue Squad. Here are the three ladder trucks, which were delivered before the engines and were numbered before and after the 1956 models delivered:

N188 StLFD #113 L17-7 1957 American LaFrance Canopy CF 85' TDA

N190 StLFD #114 L19-16 1957 American LaFrance Canopy CF 85' TDA

N184 StLFD #108 L7-12-9 1957 American LaFrance Canopy CF 100' TDA

Here is H&L 9 (although numbered 12) with the 1957 ALF 100-footer in 1976.

I'm not really surprised that the 1957 IHC/Gerstenslager rescue squad was gone by 1976 when Duane visited. I'm sure it had a ton on miles on it by the early 70s. Here it is as Rescue Squad 1 in 1965 at a working fire. In 1965 there was only one squad in St. Louis.

In 1958 the department purchased this 1958 ALF 85-foot Mid-mount aerial, ALF #N352, StLFD #32 which was serving as H&L 22 in 1965. Duane never saw it in 1976.

I don't show any deliveries in 1959. In 1960 the department received two additional Mack C pumpers:

Here is Engine 1's pumper which had a canopy cab.
