I am looking for shots of the old HUEY's that LACoFD used in the 1970's in the red and white paint scheams. Copter 10, 12 and 14 I think were the main ones but any would be nice! I might try to find some time to swing over to PA and see the LA KME's in production. I like the looks and would love to have one here in NJ as a piggy back order.... LA County has made the following changes to where certain specialized equipment is now housed



Station 129- E129, E329, HM129

Station 130- E130, USAR 130

Station 134- E134, S134, WT134

Station 33- Added the EST from 129's becoming EST 33.....

Just an FYI... Saw that Engine 33 is now running a 2007 KME rig that replaced a 1998(?) model. Also Engine 191 is operating a KME Emgine that served as Engine 24.

Monrovia... Like those Pierce Arrows, but like the Northwoods Inn right next door even better. Been going there since I was a kid, and we hit them every time we're out on vacation. What movements of apparatus have occured within LACoFD? USAR rigs, HM rigs, etc.

Station 129- E129, E329, HM129

Station 130- E130, USAR 130

Sq 129, WT 129 have moved to Station 134 and arew now Sq 134 and WT 134

EST 129 moved to Station 33 and is now EST 33

Usar 134 moved to Station 130 and now teemed with Engine 130 is USAR TF 130

Haz Mat 130 and Engine 330 move to Station 129 to become Engine 329 and Haz Mat 129 and form Haz Mat TF 129



From what i heard with now two engine's a haz mat plus the north county air squad the station living quarters at 129's are very tight

Perfect and thanks. Any idea why the moves? Are they adding additional USAR and/or Haz Mat resources and they needed to balance out coverage with existing units?

Not sure as to why they moved so many things around, Now Haz Mat 129 is the newest Haz Mat it's only been in service about a year and they're new rig a KME should be arriving at the shops soon.

I think they are, I know that Haz Mat 129's rig will not be like the current haz mat units it will be a straight axle rig

Station 82's 1980 [I think] ALF reserve engine. They may not run this engine anymore as their reserve with the new fleet of KMEs and reserve engines being shuffled around.

This Spartan was E170 up until about a year ago. It has since been sold at auction.

I believe this is E81's KME. There was no numbering on the doors or truck with the exception of what looked to be hand written 81 in chalk on the number plate.

Station 164's new KME being outfitted at the shops. This rig came from the first wave of the new KME pumpers that the county began to recieve about a year ago.
