Dallas, Texas was a big WLF customer from the 60's into the 70's. Here is Eng. 2, a 1964 WLF, 750-500. All the Engines and trucks had the old B&M sirens on them while the MICU's had Federal electronic sirens and an occassiol addn'l B&M siren as well. The electronic sirens started to appear on the Eng/Trucks in the late 70's.

Dallas' Love Field Airport had this 1971 WLF, 750-4000-225 foam, which ran as Red 4. I photographed this one in April 1982.
Next up is Engine 42, a 1973 WLF, 750-500. It is the 1st up Engine for Love Field, and is quartered on the outskirts of the airport as opposed to being housed at the Crash Station in the airport (Station 21).
Truck 47 was the only low profile WLF that Dallas had. It was a 1972 WLF with a 75 ft Hi-Ranger snorkel.
Eng. 48 had a 1965 WLF, 750-500 which lost its red paint in favor of the more visible yellow from the late 70's until 1982 when red made its welcomed comeback.
Station 56 was a dual WLF Station. Eng. 56 ran with this 1971 WLF, 750-500.
Reserve Engine 2x was a 1962 WLF, 750-500 which used to run as Eng. 3. I don't know if the cab roof is a WLF roof or if it was added later. Anyone have any ideas???
One of the reserve trucks was this 1963 WLF- Hi-Ranger, 75 ft snorkel at Station 1. I believe Dallas had two of these total. Not sure where this one was stationed, possibly either ex. Truck 3 or ex. Truck 19. If anyone knows let me know. Stay tuned for more Texas WLF's.

From what I have recorded for Dallas deliveries, everything basically had semi-open cabs through 1961, then everything after that had roofs. Corrections welcomed.
Here we have Dallas Reserve truck 8x, 1966 WLF, 65 ft. It was running as Truck 37 when I photographed it in the late 70's-early 80's.
Reserve Truck 27x was a 1970 WLF, 65 ft. Here it was running as Truck 41 when photographed.
Reserve Engine 1x was a 1965 WLF, 750-500. Not sure what engine it was filling in for as I took this photo at a 5 alarm apartment fire back in the late 70's.
