HVFD's 67 Seagrave, in the newer white/red scheme. This was an imposing rig, whether responding or at the scene. This tillered beauty would get a cab roof and another paint job before retirement.

The '67 Seagrave from Hillendale, what was the assignment of the rig in each of those photos? Truck Co. 12 maybe?

Thanks.[/quote] My references suggest that it was originally assigned to Truck 12, as indicated by info with the 1st photo from 1968. By 1973, it was TRK.24, where it remained until 1989, when it was replaced by a 89 Sutphen tower. It then moved to Sta. 12 as an "unmanned" unit and by 1995, Tower 24 was disbanded and reactivated Trk. 12 was running with the aforementioned xTrk.6- the 77 Seagrave RM. In 25 years of observing Montco., the truck companies have been bounced around like ping-pong balls <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='  ' /> Corrections, anyone???

So, when it was new and all red it was T12. Then to T24 and a new paint job. Then back to T12 unmanned. When T12 was reorganized as a "Manned" unit again it used the '77 Seagrave 100' tiller Ex-T06. Is that about right? Ha ha.

From the end of 1991 until March 1993, the Damascus VFD Activity Center on Lewis Drive was the home of the dept., while the old station was razed and a new one built on the same site. Some people may know this building (the upstairs part) as the home of the DVFD's fire flea markets every March.

This is the new Damascus station, those with sharp eyes will note the part of the old building that was saved. E-131 on the ramp is a 91 Seagrave 1250/750.

This 1987 Kovatch 1000/2000 engine-tanker was delivered to the Upper Montgomery County VFD (UMCVFD) in late 1987. However, it was never a popular piece with UMCVFD and would have one of the shortest lives ever for a Montco rig.

On 7/12/90, the unit was responding to a fire call when it wrecked on White's Ferry Road and literally disassembled itself. The rig was driver-only and somehow he walked away with minor injuries.

Upper Montgomery Co. VFD had Mack apparatus for many years. Their 1st 2 rigs were both Mack engines.
