[quote name='EMTChris67' post='138114' date='Aug 8 2007, 02:45 ']heres a mack that i fell in love with this past week while on vacation in Maine, 1926 Mack AC engine from Calais Maine used as their parade engine

This is a former Baltimore Fire Department Mack. The BFD built several pumpers in the repair shop in 1926 using wood hosebed bodies from horse drawn wagons. It appears that this body has been replaced with new wood. The other telltale sign is the "Baltimore Basket" over the hose bed used as a catchall for loose equipment.

the guys told me it was donated by a local who had it refurbed, i dont think they knew the origins of this beautiful peice, thanks for the info
Unfortunately, I don't have any information on this Mack CF other than it is used by the students at the Rio Hondo fire academy in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Most likely, it was repainted at some by the students as there are very few black over red paint schemes in Southern California. Sorry the photo is not that good, but the trucks are parked pretty close to each other.

Our 2nd due Engine, Engine 2924 the CF-700 V8 with a modified grille to allow more air into the engine and radiator thus keeping it from over-heating. The V8s are notorious for over-heating.

Someone had asked me the particulars about this one. All I can find written down about it in the pile of notes is that it's a 1968.
(All of the nice 700s also present at the muster must've caught the photographer's attention, Lindsay. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />)

Don't let her fool you, Lindsay! She likes Macks but just won't admit it!
