Hoosgow? Oh, my gosh. That's the funniest thing I've read today. You really do need to look out for that character. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

He is a nefarious character that bears looking out for. However, he does have an interest in classic apparatus. I have it on good authority that he really likes Mack C Models.

I'll have to agree with your source that the man in question from the previous picture is indeed an admirer of Mack C Model apparatus.
He's definitely more nefarious than the character in this picture. It's a pack of discolored ALF owners. (Well, apart from poor Dave. He just got mixed-up in our picture.) You weren't around at the National in Houston to enjoy the classic apparatus on display there.
Oh, my goodness. I just noticed, I forgot my hat that day. I bet you never thought you'd see that. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

This may be a first-a picture of a hatless ALF Queen. It should be auctioned off on eBay as it may be the only one that exists in the free world as we know it today.

This past Sunday was the "Thunder in the Park IV" Car Show in Connersville, Indiana, sponsored by the Everton Volunteer Fire Department. This was our second year attending, even though they've done away with the judging category for Fire Apparatus since the last time we took a truck over. The weather was great.
On the way home, we stopped to look at a roadside rig I had spotted earlier last week while driving home from Ohio. This Snorkel is sitting in the small town of Homer, Indiana. I wrote the Serial Number down from it; I'm just not sure where I put the piece of paper I wrote it down on. Ha! At any rate, this isn't a great picture since the sun was in a bad spot. If I'm in the area again, I'll stop for more pictures. (It still runs and is operable.)
After making one more stop for dinner on the way home, we literally blew-up a brake diaphragm/valve into a million pieces. We made it home and then over to the shop on Tuesday. It should be ready to pick-up by the weekend, which is good considering we still have a long list of parades and shows to attend.
The fun never ends. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

We received our parade entry confirmation in the mail today. Hehehe, they put the Crown in front of Gray. I get to be the leader for once. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
Today was the 41st Hoosier Auto Show and Swap Meet at the Marion County (IN) Fairgrounds. I took the Crown up to it, and it won a nice 1st Place plaque. The clouds moved in around noon time, and the sun didn't show again until I was on the way home.

What Frank had asked for, some video clips of the Crown driving.

LOL. I don't use it, but it's smacked me in the hand more than once.
Remember, the Crown still doesn't have power steering. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

With an automatic transmission, I thought that power steering would be a given.
I guess that's what I get for thinking. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

It did have power steering. I don't remember now what the problem was, but it has no power steering at all now, which, as I'm sure you well know, is worse than driving one that came from the factory without power steering.

One of the finest options offered back in the day was power steering. You are correct in your assessment that non working power steering is more of a whipping than none at all from the factory.

I see you found that video clip as well. Mario and I put that one together almost two years ago while it was still in California. That's a service road that runs parallel to the Orange Train Station. It was during that drive-by that one of the transmission fluid hoses let loose. If you have good eyes, you can see the trail of transmission fluid behind the truck as it passes by the camera. That was the beginning of a long road of repairs which eventually led to the replacement of the transmission.
Yes, now that you mention it, you can see oil letting loose. YIKES !!!
(A continuation of the 40th Hope Heritage Days Parade pictures that I started in Ole Gray's thread ...)
I thought Gray was in a bad spot until I tried to take pictures of the Crown. This was the best I could manage. There were porta-potties to the right, and the sun was in a bad spot on the opposite side. Ah, well.
