Ambulances
Well I didn't see a topic for this started already except for the Ford not making an Econoline one, and thought we could do much better than that.

So without further adu, here's my frist contribution Central Huron Ambulance Service, MI

2007 Chevy C-4500 (Non-Air Ride) Braun Cheif XL "Prestige Package".

The first pic is with the Edison hydro electric plant in the background this is in Saulte Ste Marie, MI (pronounced Soo-Saint Marie) in the Upper Peninsula. Canada is about 100 yards off to the left of this PIC. The unit was on it's way to a demo hence the reason it's about 300+ miles away from home.

The second shot is of the curbside showing the sliding door, the graphics are all reflective except the green which is metallic paint.

Pete,

It does in my book.

That's one hell of a step into that bad boy! I know on the regular C-4500's without air ride it's a doosey of a first step, that thing looks like it needs an air plane gate next to it.

In all actuality it looks like Bristol bought themselve's a 4x4 AEV. Not sure I agree with the whole 4x4 ambulance thing except for beachs, or the desert. Everyone I know of that has one and goes off roading with it get's it stuck eventually. Or is some cases about three times a year. This especially drives me nuts when a department has Gators, snowmobiles, and ATV's they could use to get to a patient triage them and then get them to the ambulance for transport.

Oh well enough ranting from me.

I'm sure we can add tons more to this category as I know Chevy was popular back in the late 80's and they have really made a come back in the past year.

Here are a few more of the 2007 Dodge 3500 Wheeled Coach type I "demo" unit already posted. I shot these yesterday. Although not really a Dodge fan in the past, after driving this unit 1000 miles from Atlanta to San Antonio over the week-end, I have to admit I was impressed. Powerful (6.7 Cummins diesel), quiet, comfortable, no real complaints so far....

Whats the deal with the tail light cluster on that truck?

Much to my surprise Iggyz called me, and said a new Ryan Brothers ambulance was at the DeForest fire station for a demo. I hopped in my car and caught the truck before they left.
