John great shots, but just a little friendly "FYI" Odenton is from AACO, not PG.
Check out Md. Fire Apparatus @ MarylandFiretrucks.smugmug.com
Thanks Bus
So the Chief wouldn't let them respond to their own local? I know this is a photo thread but that's pretty stupid. Had I been a Kentland Vollie, I'd roll the truck anyway, what's he going to do? Fire a volunteer? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/machinegun.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/feedtroll.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
None the less. Great photos! Those white apparatus sure look purty <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Nice shots Lime Guy. Looks like Kentland sure got a lot of support.
People complaining about spam in the spam mail box... Huh, what'll they think of next?
They could respond in their first due but that was it. It was supposed to be so they could respond to their EMS calls and not be off assisting others. The Chief was trying to get free EMS out fo the volunteers and not provide a County rig.
Yes it was stupid.
Nice pics John wish I could have gone and shown support for 33....BTW what is with the 88 on the ambo and not 33,who is staffing the box....???

I just had some pics of the box I shot at the Metro Station before I went to 33.
Where are you in the DC area?
Any photos of that fat redheaded kid from Maine?
The red engine is a late 60's Seagrave they had sold to Bendersville Vol. Fire Co. Adams County Pa. they sold it to a collector in Elizabethtown Pa. He in turn sold it to a member of Bladensburg. He in turn sold it to a member of Kentland who restored it. it was slime lime in Bendersville.
I was the collector in E-town who bought that piece from Bendersville, that thing sounded so beautiful and it was such a pleasure to drive... but I didn't have the money to take care of it properly.. so I sold it to Scott Glazier from Bladensburg (Who is also on Firepics). If I would have had the money, I would have kept that thing forever (or until the wheels fell off). I really miss that engine... I had sent 2 e-mails to Mike Mattison (the guy at Kentland who bought it) asking for a couple of pictures of it. He never got back to me (which doesn't surprise me overly much)... so it is good to see it on here. Dave |
