It was owned by a member of the Newtown Antique Fire Association which is/was a group in eastern PA that specialized in WLF apparatus. I think this is the rig that is sitting in Wyndmoor's house waiting to be restored. It was Ex-Wyndmoor, PA.

' />[/quote]Scott- Additional info: 1958 Mack B-85/Harwick purchased new by Wyndmoor Hose-Springfield Twp. (Montgomery Co.),PA. Equipped with Hale 1000 psi high-pressure booster pump and 300 gal tank. Unique body which needs to be viewed up close to appreciate all of its details and the Harwick touch. Its extended bumper has a 6-ton center mounted winch. It was used as a heavy rescue unit. The body area behind the cab which is covered by a canopy roof has bench seats under it. The rear portion of the body is accessible from a center walkway at the back step. It has 14 compartments and is powerd by a Thermodyne 707 gas motor. In 1976 it was sold to Columbia No.1-Columbia (Lancaster Co.),PA. In 1978 it was sold to Mount Carbon (Schuylkill Co.),PA. In 1995 it was owned by a collector in Tremont,PA. It was then sold to a collector in NY state. In 2005 Wyndmoor re-purchased it from an individual in MA. The body is in poor condition having sat outside in more recent years. It is still driveable but is extremely tired. Wyndmoor has intentions to restore it.

I grew up in Clarks Summit, PA which is between Scranton and the Tunkhannock Viaduct. The Erie Lackawanna, former DL&W RR, ran through Clarks Summit about a block away from home. I remember many trips we took where we drove past that magnificent viaduct. Living in Sayre and Clarks Summit solidified my life-long model railroad and railbuff hobbies. While living in Clarks Summit the firehouse was at the end of my street. I remember running down to the corner everytime I heard the fire siren blow to watch the trucks respond out of HQ. I'd stay there until they came back if I could. At that time (early 1970's) they ran a Ford C pumper but I don't recall the bodybuilder. There was also a vintage Ward LaFrance pumper with an overhead ladder rack and a Young rescue truck on a Dodge chassis. The rescue is pictured in the excellent Young book from Iconografix. Those trips to watch the firetrucks respond cemented my interest in fire apparatus.
