Any Pierce experts got a theory why this rebuild has a Lance cab and front grill, but has Pierce Arrow decoration on the sides of the cab??? This rig was definitely 1 of the highlights that day.

The middle window is that of an older Pierce Arrow Cab. We have a Pierce Arrow and a Lance, both have four door cabs. They added the four door conversion when it was rebuilt. It's a combination of the two cabs it appears. It is a unique rig that's for sure!



The front doors appear to be from the Lance cab as with the grill. There are no side vents and the breather is thru the roof. The location of the engine would of required them to use the Arrow as the base cab. My guess is the rest was done to match existing rigs.

The cab is a Pierce Arrow through and through. Independent Hose also has a 1990 Pierce Lance Pumper in service, Mt. Kisco selected this grill so the trucks match. Neighboring Chappaqua did a similar rebuild on their 1974 ALF Pacemaker. When it was rebuilt C.F.D. selected a newer Pierce grill that would match their 1994 Dash. Kind of neat, yet confusing at the same time.
