The old Fox (1926 MS-3, Reg. 1713) was restored eventually and can be seen at Charleston, South Carolina's HQ station.

Another Factiod about the Rice's Landing ALF the fire chief at the time I think it was in the early 80's had a heart attack while responding to a house fire and he went through a house. When they got the call this truck would not start so he stayed back and their other 53 ALF responded and when he got it started he went driver only. I bought the other 53 from them several years ago I have since sold it to someone else.
Your first three posts of the Pittsburgh Alf, and Rice's Landing Alf were taken at Ron's Garage down near Washington, PA. Ron's garage location and building haven't changed in forever. Ron's garage is a little body shop that does quite a few fire apparatus refurbs during the year. Usually you see his refurbs on a lot of macks and seagraves.

The sad thing about the Seagrave at Ron's is to see the picture of it that you posted in the junk yard <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_redface.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> and then go in Ron's shop and see a picture of it at a wedding I think. Man it looked good then.

This unit was recently retired and sold to a private owner. Park Hills Kentucky used it for salvage and lights. The unit was new in 1976 and shortly after being placed in service it responded to the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire in May 1977.

During a family trip to Scranton Pa. I came across this Ex- Syracuse, NY Heavy Rescue. It caught my eye last night one the way back from dinner and I did not take any pics because it was dark. I shot these at 7am this morning on the way out of town to head home. It appears to be for sale at a used heavy truck dealer that is also a scrap yard (Which are everywhere in Scranton). The yard was not open so I shot them through the fence.
Last Friday in south Baltimore City I rode by Dickman Street to get some last few shots of some of Baltimore's last few remaining old original white and orange apparatus that had been repainted. Three of them were repainted red and only one of them stayed orange its whole life. I can still remember when they were all orange.
