Engine 1 has this 2004 Pierce Dash, 1500/500.
TEXAS RIGS
|
Battalion 2 runs out of Station 9 along with an engine and ambulance similar to Amb.1. Its a 2007 Chevy Suburban.
Almost forgot, Station 1 also has one of the flagships. Truck 1 is a 1997 Pierce Lance, 100 ft/1750/200.
Also running out of Station 1 is this 2006 Pierce Enforcer which functions as a ladder tender. It is a Air/Light/Rescue/250/200 truck. It makes all box alarms and the crew on the truck man it when it is called upon.
Engine 3 also has one of the newest engines. same year and specs as Eng.9.
Truck 5 has one of two new quints. They are 2006 Pierce Dash's, 75 ft/1500/500. Station 5 has an engine , the quint and an ambulance. The engine is the 1994 Pierce Arrow I posted above. It is presently the oldest apparatus in the fleet.
Also housed at Station 11 is the Depts Command Van which is a 2004 Winnebago/Farber.
Here are a few Dallas/Houston rigs. First is this 1966 WLF, 750/300 which ran out of Dallas' Station 14 in the southern part of the city.
Sorry!!!!! Stupid me. The rig above is a 1970 GMC/unknown body (any one have any ideas on who the body is by?????),Rescue truck. This one ran out of Station 19 in the eastern part of the city. Here is Engine 14.
Engine 36 on the western side of Dallas once ran with this 1978 Ford/FACT (Fire Apparatus Corp. of Texas), 1000/500. It is seen here at a 5 alarm apartment fire back then.
Engine 7 which is in the far northern part of Dallas had this 1978 Ford/FACT, 1000/500.
Station 18 which is downtown once ran with 2 engines and a truck. One of them at the time was this 1975 ALF Pioneer,1000/500, Engine 18.
Station 15 used to house one of a couple of 1975 ALF Pioneers, 100 ft rear mount trucks. I believe there were 3 total.
Here's a 1970? WLF, 65 ft which was a reserve at the time this photo was taken.
Houston has always had a variety of apparatus over the years. Here are a few. First is Ladder 46 which was a 1976 Mack CF/Thibault, 100 ft/250/150.
