As of today they're not taking any further orders and the status of trucks which were in production are questionable at best.[/quote] Does that mean the company is slowing down or in the process of shutting down? Curious to know.
People complaining about spam in the spam mail box... Huh, what'll they think of next?

A large part of my collection was purchased from a GOOD man, John Floyd. I give him FULL credit on his work, although I may miss something. Thanks John. Also Scott Mattson, Warren Jenkins, Michael Schwartzberg, and Mike Sanders. Thanks Guys.

Some Hyattstown pics
Ex- RS9 1987 GMC Brigadier/ Saulsbury now at Tower Hill #2 VFC, Luzerne Twp., Fayette Co.,PA. Warren Jenkins photo
Among the earliest photos in Montgomery County (1988) that I took was this photo of the Germantown fire station#29 when it was part of the Hyattstown VFD. I believe the Germantown vol. contingent became independent of Hyattstown the next year.

This shot is from a 1988 BCC fund raising book. The book gives photo credit to Brenda Simmons.
Here is a shot from a Wheaton fund raising flyer, also about 1988. WVRS Photo.
According to the flyer, this is a 1955 shot of Wheaton's only rig at the time. WVRS Photo.

Something a little different...
On Monday, March, 30, 1998, about 3 P.M. I was at the intersection of RT.355 and Gunners Branch RD. in Germantown,MD. when I noticed a large amount of smoke coming from a condo complex on Gunners Branch RD. Since I had a small camera in my courier van, I decided to check it out. When I reached the scene back on a cul-de-sac, the 1st units from Germantown Sta.29 had just arrived. E-291 is a 1994 Seagrave 1250/750/50. All photos by Warren Jenkins |
