This & That from Here & There

Yeah, I know, it's been forever since I've posted anything new. I've taken several trips, but most were with other 'pixers who have already posted their shots. In between, I've shot a bit of stuff myself, so I'll be posting those here over the next week or so. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I did shooting them.



Going back to July, I posted some rigs from Leoma, TN. This shot of their tanker was still in the camera and I didn't get it developed until recently. Tanker 20 is a 1992 IH 4900/E-One 1000/2000, #9752.



On a sentimental note, that piece of blue car visible in the background is my 1992 Dodge Spirit. That was the last road trip with that car, it was retired with 280,000+ miles on it. It had been my "ride" for over 5 years.

Engine 2, in nearby Lawrenceburg, TN, is this 2004 E\-One Typhoon 2000/750/70F, #128554.

Just to the east of Lawrenceburg is New Prospect, TN. Rescue 11 runs this 2001 Peterbilt/E-One 1250/1000, #123189.

The next outing was the Panhandle-Gulf Coast trip in August with Ron, Mark, Jim and Ernie. On the way down to Tallahassee, I stopped at Moultrie, GA and shot a few. Rescue 1 is a 2006 Freightliner M2/Pierce Encore, #17701.

I also stumbled across this sweet older rig, now in reserve service. Snorkel 11 is a 1978 Ford C/Pirsch 1000/500/55' Snorkel, #PN-71.

Between the Florida trip and the F.R.I. show in Atlanta, my buddy Dan Decher came down and we added a few more. Fayette County, GA has placed two E\-One quints into service at Stations 8 and 10. Quint 10 is a 2007 Typhoon 1500/500/75', #131846.

Fayette County Rescue 10 is a 2007 Freightliner M2/Custom Works. Custom Works is a relative newcomer in the apparatus world, located in Woodbury, GA.

We went in search of Union City's new quint, but found no one at either station. We then spotted them at a local eatery and got these shots in the parking lot. Engine 2 is a 2007 Pierce Dash 1500/710/40F, #19165.

Finally, Mobile Command 16 is a 2006 Sutphen/S.V.I.. It carries Sutphen number HS-4101 and S.V.I. number 561.

Question for anyone who's company runs these style cabs or has seen the inside of one. How big are they inside? They look like they provide a substantial amount of room.

I now see who built the Athens Clarke County units. Great shots as always! Did you post those Spalding county shots yet? Not sure if had time yet or I just over looked them. Thanks!
