MS Paint Anyone! Fire Apparatus Part III
Trying my hand at some older rigs to mix things up. A fairly spot-on version of one of several Ford/E-One's that IFD brought to the fleet in the late 1970's. The ALF's are next!
Very nice Chris!!!! Hope you don't mind if I repaint it. Btw, here are 3 of the projects I've been working on. First one is the old Rescue 7. An '82(?) GMC 6500/Indiana Fire Apparatus. I used the cab from the '80 GMC/Grumman 4x4 pumper the Engine5161 drew, turned it into a crew cab. The body was all drawn by me with tires from parts bin that RIEMT& KDWMAEMT created. Credit for this goes to all these guys: Credit Engine5161, KDWMAEMT & RI EMT and a couple other who I can't remember.

And the second one started out as the Boston Squrt from KDWMAEMT, RIEMT & EMTchris67. I redid it and turned it into fmr IFD Squrt 13. A '68 Ford C/Maxim/Pierce 54' Squrt using the pic from IFT as reference.

Last is how the old Squrt would have looked if it had been redone into the current IFD paint/striping scheme.

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing.

Here's a little something for the season. It's an Oshkosh M-1000 done by ladder13 and repainted by me into a fictional Santa Claus International Airport Roof Foaming Unit for use when the jolly old elf doesn't have snow to land on on a roof, he puts in a call and another elf (usually the newest one) takes this to where ever Santa is and commences to foam the roof!!!! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' />

Chris, here's the redone version that these old warhorses had when they were sold off.

This is a version of one of 2 that they used to keep out at the Academy at 10th & Post. Whein it was there, it was RE-4 with TA in the badge on the door.

Next up, I'm going to try my hand at one or more of the old Maxim's using the one that RIEMT drew.

If these snow storms don't stop hitting us, and public works not able to keep up, I thought up an alternative way to get to calls <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' />
OK, let's try this again. With a few caveats.

1. If you don't want your work re-used, don't post it.

2. When crediting other artists, please do not use watermarks that go through the work itself, it prevents others from using it to build upon.

3. Credit the artist(s) that worked on the item before you. If you don't know who they are, ASK!

4. A note to moderators: If the original artist isn't complaining about the misuse of their work, it's not your job to find and correct it-by posting, they are allowing the re-use.

If we can't get this to work, the whole forum will be deleted.
I guess somebody didn't read this, or the follow up in a different thread:

Let's not stir the Pot people, yes I gave credits to this one a while back. The fact of the matter is, even if I forgot or chose not to give credits, the original artist would look at it and say, wow thats different. If it were'nt for you all, I would not have been able to do some of the drawings I do, and I'm sure the same goes to several more. Lets keep goin on the drawings, It's not a compitition, if someone can create they're own rig KUDOS, if someone uses your drawing as parts or changes it than so be it you know what you did.

Once Again I Hope You All Have A Wonderful Holiday...

STAY SAFE (AND KEEP THIS GOING)

Here's what is probably my favorite truck in Indiana. This rig was shown at FDIC 2002 and was KME's first rear-steer fire truck (probably should have been their last as well!). Manufactured right after 9/11, the patriotic graphics are outstanding (bordering on a little too much). The white writing to the left of the flag is the Pledge of Allegiance. The yellow is in memory of those who have answered their last call. Even sharper in person. The ladder's not perfect, but just about everything else is. Merry Christmas to all Firepicsers!
