I might have missed this but exactly why ladder 25's cab replaced? I saw a picture on www.massfiretrucks.com and it lookind in fairly good shape and newer then some of the ladders.

Ladder the Cab came off of was a former Boston rig (L16) sold to and rebuilt by Weymouth which is located a few towns South of Boston. Weymouth replaced this truck and Boston some how eneded up with the cab.

Okay, I think then Boston got the cab from Weymouth and put it on Ladder 25 after Ladder 25's cab was damaged in an Mva a while back.

Thanks for the info. Funny how the whole circle of the cab worked Boston then Weymouth and back to Boston.

Weymouth traded the truck into the local E one dealer... the stick liked to move on its own once in a while....

Ladder 25 hit some thing.... The dealer then used the Weymouth cab(former Boston Ladder 16) on L 25's chassie...

They just put it on the frame and slapped some lettering on it... it still has the striping and some of the lettering on it from when it was weymouths.....

It appears that Pierce's graphics department has made a photo depicting a Boston Pumper at a working fire. I doubt if it was actually there. Beside the ride still belongs to the dealer until it is delivered to the city and has been accepted.

Not a huge fan of the done over Ladder 25...they didnt even take the time to restripe the cab i just think it was poorly designed on the exterior but the cab doesnt look all that bad on the truck

They went out for bid, E\-One/Greenwood got the bid. They are going to be built to the specs of Engine 29 & Ladder 2/Ladder 9. Hopefully they'll be here before the end of the year as the specs and contracts are done. We could use more then 5 pumpers, but less then 10 trucks.
