Things have been a bit slow recently from a fire apparatus photography standpoint. I did, however, find a couple of trucks traveling in between meetings in the Westmoreland County area of Virginia.
Montross, Virginia runs this larger brush truck as their Brush 1. I have not seen many trucks built by Southern Coach in Virginia. As I was talking to the Assistant Chief who pulled this brush truck out, I was reminded that Montross has purchased a 1988
Pierce Lance from Leesburg, Virginia (located in Loudoun County). The
Pierce is in service but not yet marked for Montross. That will have to be a return visit.

This tanker was sitting behind the Oak Grove, Virginia fire station. I am not sure if it is in service or not.
The details around this tanker are a bit fuzzy. Any help on this one is appreciated.

Well, if you cannot get new apparatus photos, how about some old ones? I have obtained an older collection of apparatus slides from Virginia that I am making my way through. I will post some recent photographs I had made.
Berryville, Virginia still owns this 1966 Mack B85F 750/600. Since this picture was taken, the Mack has been rehabed. It carries Mack serial number 1509.
This photo was taken in June of 1977.

Prior to the 1966 Mack B at Berryville, Station 1 also ran a 1958 Mack B55 1000/600. It was eventually sold to a farmer in Kentucky.

This beautiful Young Crusader belonged to Chincoteague, Virginia on the eastern shore. It was later rehabed by Young in 1988 and is reported to be the 6th Young Crusader built.

A couple from Arlington, Virginia.
Engine 7 ran this 1966 Chevrolet/American LaFrance 750gpm as their Engine 7. Take a look at the front bumper - the hooks and what appears to be a Mack bulldog.

Good photos Mike. Always good to see your work.
That is a BULLDOG on the bumper. I have to tell you that the truck is a GMC from what is on the side of the cab.

Alexandria, Virginia has run a variety of specialty units over the years.
This air unit ran from Station 57 and is a 1976 Chevrolet, which was previously a surplus ambulance. The FD did work on the back end in 1983.
