Any idea what happend to the Pierce Quantum 75' quint that N. Las Vegas had in their grey/white paint scheme? I think it was an '04 model and was assigned to T52. By your pictures it looks like it was replaced by the '94 Spartan/Smeal 75' quint that has bounced around.

Great photos and thanks.
I believe the 75ft Pierce Quantum was moved to Truck 54

I recently viewed footage of the Pepcon rocket fuel fire and explosion on the History channel. (Clark County NV)

I noticed two responding vehicles, a yellow Ford C pumper with a fire fighter on the rear step, wearing a SCBA and a white Pumper, that looks like the Henderson Hahn/Superiour.

I wanted to know if any one knows if these reponding vehicles wer damaged, and if the white cincinatti cab pumper was the Hahn from Henderson.

Here are some shots I took in May 2007. First up is Las Vegas Tanker 43, a 2002 Kenworth Pierce 3500gwt tanker.

I noticed the LVFD Water Tender for 43's has the same front bumper shop number, "1520", as another rig identified as WT-41. Was this rig assigned 41's 1st or 43's 1st?

Thanks.

Hi Larry, to be honest, I don't know! I remember that it was quite a quest to find the location of the tanker, so you may very well be right that it was moved from 43 to 41. I took the info from another roster I have. I didn't shoot the engine on the station, as they went out on a call. That would have made it easier to identify the current assignment.

And for anyone liking big squads, here's Las Vegas Special Operations Truck (CBRNE), at station 8, a Pierce Quantum Chrome. I think it's a 2006 model.

Another one for you, there is 1 heavy Rescue Co. in the LVFD correct? Is it at Station #1 or Station #44 as I have seen it photographed and identified as being assigned at each?

Thanks.

Las Vegas has only one Heavy Rescue and as far as I can remember has always been at 44.

They also only have 1 Water Tender. They do sometimes have water issues on the outskirts. I think it is currently at 43. It was at one time WT 41

Hi Larry,

I think mesquite5010 is right about the assignments. Last trip to Vegas I haven't been to Station 1 and 2, but when I visited a couple of years ago, the LVFD Heavy Rescue was at 44s.

Last year I was hoping to photograph Clark County's Truck 18, a Pierce Dash tower. Unfortunately it was OOS, instead I got this nice shot of an E\-One reserve, I think this is former T17.

I just returned form a trip to las Vegas making trips to about 12 of the stations. According to the guys there, Heavy Rescue 44 will be getting their now rig in a few months. It is going to a few trade shows before it's delivered (maybe FDIC). In addition, all the engines are going to be replaced based on the contract w/ Pierce for a 7 year replacement plan. I can only assume this will take place over a year or two.

It was no easy task to get all the rigs at station 1 in house at the same time. I made an attempt there 4 times and was only able to get E201 and R301.
