Minnesota Apparatus
This is one of 11 State sponsored Haz Mat units throughout the State. The truck is hooked up to a 24' Trailer, which we kept inside the station.

Just up the road, Sartell was one of 5 area cities that ordered engines from General, at about the same time.

We had to go to the local bar/restaurant to find a driver for this one.

Larry: There does not appear to be much info on the State site, other than it says that there are 10 CAT(Chemical Assessment teams). I am not sure if there is an 11th vehicle or not.

I have photos of some but not all of the vehicles, which is the only way that I know for sure where they are located.

In Addition, there are 5 similar looking Collapse Rescue Vehicles(most of the pictures are on this thread) that are located in.

John, does posting these sunny day photos in the middle of winter make you feel warmer? Jack.

It was sunny today. We just have that white background to contend with. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

Here are a few pictures from Saturday. It's still snow covered and cold up here, but I needed a fix, of sorts.

I never received a straight answer about why one has two and one has four doors. The FT crew of two was using the two door and I would think that other is for the POC FF's who may respond with more than two.

Last one for now. The Air Guard base at MSP received this Oshkosh Stryker 1500 in 2006. The 934th is an airlift wing, that has many deployments over the past several years. They fly C-130's.

I hope you enjoy them.

John, great pics, and yes it was nice to get a fix of Minnesota rigs. I didn't know that the 934th received a Striker, good to know. The 934th iAirwing s Air Force Reserve, the 133rd Airwing is the Minnesota C-130 unit right next door. MSP is unique that it hosts an Air Force Reserve unit and a Air National Guard unit that both fly C-130s from the same airport. Do they store it over at the small little station they have? Any idea what they use the truck for? Does it deploy or do they just use it for ARFF training?

Do you know if there have been any recent deliveries up at the 148th Fighter Wing that provides ARFF for Duluth IAP? I haven't been up there in about 9 years right after they got the big P-23.

Dave: It was at the North MSP Station, as it does not fit in the Air Guard Station. I never found out if it is staffed. The driver said something to Paul about civilians during the week, but I was busy writing down info, and did not hear it all. The KME pumper was down at the main Station. I would guess that it is still being used as a reserve piece. Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will shoot you a picture of E-32.
