There are pros and cons to it. The pros being that having the same appearing apparatus shows unification between the five fire companies. Also unless you're extremely knowledgable about fire apparatus as a local citizen, you have no idea which fire company arrives first or doesnt arrive to your call. You just know that the Monroeville Fire Department showed up. The con is that each fire department did loose a bit of their identity. Sometimes you have to make small sacrifices in order to get where you want to be at.
