Judging by the rear of the rig... it looks like the edge of a Dump Valve... So maybee a tanker.
Chilmark MA on Martha's Vineyard was running this for a few years...early 90's..looks former military spec..
Tisbury MA..former 65' Maxim
West Tisbury MA Engine 5

Not sure if this is the same rig or not - need verification from Mike or someone else in VA: 1974 Ford C800 Super Duty/Reading, enclosed walk-in rescue, originally purchased by the Ocean City VFD, MD on a 1962 Ford F600 chassis, remounted in 1974 on the Ford C, sold to Pocomoke City (Worcester County, MD) in 1982, was replaced by them in 1988. It looks the same to me. I'm sure not too many of these were ever made by Reading. Many thanks, Bruce[/quote] Scott, Bruce you can bet a body part on it. This is Ocean City's old Rescue 707 ('74 Ford, '62 Reading that became in about '82 Pocomoke City's 100-R-1 down to the Hurst sticker in the window. New Church Va (Accomack County / Eastern Shore oif VA Co 1) is the next town south of Pocomoke City on US 13. Still I had no idea they got this. As per Pocomoke web site it was repleced in '90 but with an '88. Not sure how long they had it as I had them with a '82 Ford "C" Pierce 1000/750 rescue engine as Rescue 1. Not sure about where and when that came. It went away late in '05 I believe replaced by a '95 Pierce Saber 1500/750 reportedly out of somewhere in New Jersey. Corrections welcome.
