This head on shot shows the plate better. I got these back around the hoildays from the family of former chief H.R. "Bud" Stiles. I actually have to correct myself this is actually Southfield F.D. Southfield is the main village in New Marlborough and the New Marlborough Township Vol. Fire Co Inc wasn't incorp. until 1957. This truck was bought after a bad fire at the Southfield Store in 1928.

Shot after the high-side compartments and 'squad 51' lightbar were added. This was sometime around 1995, and I was most likely one of the crew that day. The deck gun from this rig now rides atop my Mack. Somewhere I have an aerial shot from the bucket of Peabody's tower at the same muster. We fed their ladder pipe in exchange for a ride. This truck was sold to a local farmer in 2000. He forgot to drain it the first winter, shattered the tank and plumbing, and then scrapped it. What a shame. Although not my favorite rig, I was there the day she was delivered and I was there the day she retired, so I have a bit of an attachment.
