Simms was a regional builder to Texas and are no longer around. The Richmond Fire Department in Fort Bend County, Texas has 2 of their older rigs. 1 with a Ford C canopy cab and 1 '75 Ford C standard cab. The '75 Ford C standard cab is shown here after a refurb. Credit to photographer.

Also known as Burk(e) & Simms. A department I belonged to had one. They were a small company but popular in the region and seemed to be well respected. Built mostly (if not entierly) on commercial chassis. Joe

Was this a 1 rig order Jeremy? I guess the other Enforcer's were all together with the split order with E\-One for the trucks and tankers.

Yep, they wanted to get this done before all the 06 motors where taken. If they missed the window, they would have to go with an XT, Velocity or Quantum. Now we have a standard fleet for the pumpers. Committee is meeting again for a new rescue. Talk is that it will be an XT. This will replace the E\-One/Freightline at 33's. That will become an air/light truck. When is the new E21 going is service?

Guys are at the dealer today and tomorrow doing the tool and equipment lay out so the dealer knows where to mount everything. They are also doing the NFPA pump acceptance tests as well as the Class "A" and "B" foam system acceptance and the CAFS as well.
Hoping to have it in service the 1st or 2nd week of March. Come by and you can drive it to see how it rides a lot smoother. LOL.
