From the pictures, it actually looks like it might be in somewhat decent shape (I say hesitantly....lol)

I'd known about these next two trucks for over a year now, just could never catch them sitting in a good enough spot to shoot. They are in a junkyard/truck sales lot, and thankfully the owner had parked them in decent positions today!

Here are two relics I recently shot in Myrtle Beach,SC that I need some help on. This one I found on South Kings Hwy at a t-shirt shop, but it had no identifying marks as to where it served. All I know is it was a 1950s Ford Big Job/ALF 750/500.

[/quote]

This is a 1956 Ford F-800 Big Job/ALF and was purchased new by the Lake City (SC) Fire Department. It was sold to the Cordesville (SC) FD in 1984 just prior to the arrival of a 1984 Ford/ALF that replaced it. Cordesville owned it until 2006 or 2007 when a pub owner north of Mount Pleasant (SC) bought it. It was sold in 2008 to the present owner, the T-shirt store.

Efforts are underway to try to trade the owner of the store another relic and bring this one back home and restore it. Wish us luck. It will then be with its siblings, a restored 1936 Ford/ALF which was the LCFD's first new truck, and the '84 that replaced it, which is currently the oldest reserve piece the LCFD has.

I was told there was another in the back, but I did not see it.

By the way no ID's on these two!

Some one want it to look like a Mack by sticking the name on the hood. The pump panel is AMLaFrance.

Yes I'm pretty sure that is Lackawanna, NY maybe a 1967 or 68? I've shot it before along the highway there years back. It's been sitting there forever.
