not a bad looking rig.

Dulles is going to be taking delivery of a new Striker crash truck in the next week or so...if it hasn't already been delivered.
Here are a couple of pics of the new Foam 352. It has all the bells and whistles and a nice price tag too!
Here are some more pics that I ran across. From 2007 and maybe 2006. Enjoy.
First up is Truck 338
Now some training photo's of Foam 345 in action with Virginia Dept. of Fire Programs aircraft simulator.
HEy ARFF-FF thanks for the pics of the Striker, very nice rig. Any other new deliveries on the horizon?

Arden Hills, Minnesota but.... my heart is also back in Northern VA, especially Alexandria. All pictures are taken by me and subject to copyright. No picture taken by me may be copied or linked without my express permission.
Look for three new engines in about a year, a new medic unit for National in 6 months to a year and a new utility sometime soon also.
The striker looks awsome. Will there be strikers going to National as well?
Matt, Perhaps ARFF-FF can clarify but I assume that replacements to the crash rigs they have will be Striker from here on out. Just depends on the replacement schedule and when they get their FAA money.
ARFF-FF, are the 3 pumpers to replace the National Quantum that had the accident, the Dulles Quantum, and the Dulles Rearpump Dash? Will the Rescue Engine and the Dash go into reserve?

The 3 engines are going to replace R-E-335 that was involved in the accident, Engine 327, which was our reserve piece and was due to be replaced and Engine 380, the Dash at Dulles.

People complaining about spam in the spam mail box... Huh, what'll they think of next?
Does Dulles or National have an open house or someone you can contact to do pics or an article on thier stations/apparatus? (I just signed on as an editor for VAfirenews and want to do an article on WMAA.)

The Dash has been out of service more than it has been in service, not sure why they haven't tried the lemon law on it.

PM Sent.
Ok...the new engines have been ordered, only two. One to replace the one in the accident and one to replace the 1990 Arrow. Engine 380 (the dash) is staying. Also here is a link to some pictures of our newer Battalion buggies.
